Award-winning singer-songwriter, Christie McCarthy has released six records and toured the U.S. opening for headliners like Melissa Etheridge, Janis Ian, and Laurie Lewis. The Good Times writes, "Christie’s music delivers lots of subtly complex hooks and lush harmonies, and a wealth of influences from the realms of folk, Americana and rock and roll.” Her songs are featured in TV shows and on compilations alongside artists like Norah Jones, Diana Krall and Dave Matthews.
Christie will be joined by Santa Cruz legends Patti Maxine on lap steel, Glenn MacPherson on lead guitar and Rhan Wilson on bass. Glenn MacPherson will open the show with a few of his gorgeous originals.
Patti Maxine has become a household word in Santa Cruz area as well as Hawaiian circles. A musical Swiss army knife, she handles a variety of styles with ease, sliding gracefully from Hawaiian to swing, from R&B and rock, from blues to jazz and back again.
Glenn MacPherson was chosen as a 1997 New Folk Finalist for the Kerrville Folk Festival. He's been recognized many times for Best Song and Best Performance by the Northern California Songwriters Association, and for songwriting by both the Sisters and Napa Valley Folk Festivals.
Rhan Wilson is a multi-instrumentalist, teacher, writer and creator. The Sentinel’s Wallace Baine writes, “Wilson has talent, experience and creativity to spare…but what elevates him to the mantle of a special artist is a genuine artistic vision.
